Main Tasks
1. Dispatch:
- Planning and organizing heavy and special transport operations in compliance with legal regulations and customer specifications.
- Optimizing routes and schedules for the fleet and subcontractors.
- Monitoring transport operations and ensuring they run smoothly.
2. Customer and Supplier Management:
- Point of contact for customers, authorities, partners, and internal departments regarding all logistics-related matters.
- Preparation of quotes and calculation of transport costs.
- Management and oversight of collaboration with subcontractors.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Preparation and review of transport and customs documents.
- Monitoring and maintenance of order data in the scheduling software.
- Ensuring complete documentation of shipments.
Strategic Responsibilities:
1. Project Management:
- Coordinating complex logistics projects, including scheduling and resource planning.
- Preparing feasibility studies, including towing curves and structural analyses.
- Advising customers on logistics concepts and technical solutions.
2. Process Optimization:
- Developing and implementing efficient scheduling and logistics processes.
- Analyzing and optimizing fleet utilization.
- Introducing digital tools for process automation.
3. Compliance and Quality Assurance:
- Ensuring compliance with all legal and internal requirements (e.g., occupational safety and transportation regulations).
- Monitoring quality standards and continuously improving logistics processes.
Requirements
- Completed training as a freight forwarding clerk, logistics specialist, or a comparable qualification.
- Experience in scheduling heavy and special transports, ideally in the field of project logistics.
- Knowledge of customs and permitting procedures as well as relevant regulations.
- Proficiency in scheduling and logistics software as well as MS Office.
- Strong organizational skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to assert oneself.
