Colossus Logistics handles special transport for refrigeration system

Colossus Logistics GmbH & Co. KG took on the complete transport of an industrial refrigeration system. This included temporary storage at the heavy goods warehouse in Berlin, transfer to HavelPort Berlin GmbH including transhipment, and onward transport by inland waterway vessel from Wustermark to Hamburg.

The goods to be transported included several refrigeration compressors and various accessories in crates. The largest components measured 11.00 m × 2.60 m × 4.18 m and weighed 29.9 tonnes.

Transhipment was carried out using a reach stacker and mobile crane.
