Precision work on the move: 163 tons moved on schedule

Gutmann GmbH & Co. KG transported two bridge sections, each measuring 26,430 × 5,435 × 2,665 mm and weighing 105 tons. The total dimensions of the transport unit were 40,300 × 5,500 × 4,200 mm with a total weight of 163 tons. Two 4+5+7 (NL) trailer combinations (7-axle Goldhofer) were used to transport both components simultaneously to meet a fixed delivery deadline. A particular challenge was the 1,750 mm lateral overhang—once on the left, once on the right. A detailed route inspection, driving simulations, and the creation of a route log were carried out in advance. Thanks to a clever route planning—partly utilizing the opposite lane at intersections—the need for additional traffic lights was avoided. Together with the BF4 partner, new roadbooks were created for several route sections.

Despite challenging conditions, the Gutmann team delivered both components on time.
